How to measure
- Take the old mattress off the platform.
- Measure the width of the platform from edge to edge.
- Measure the length from the head of the bed to the foot.
- Round to the nearest half inch. If you are between sizes, go a little smaller rather than bigger.
CornersMost beds have square corners. Need a cut for a wall, cabinet or wheel well?
Angle vs. notch
Angle: a straight diagonal cut across the corner. Measure X along the width edge and Y along the length edge to where the cut starts and ends.
Notch: a square cut-out from the corner, for posts or cabinets. X is how wide the cut-out is, Y is how deep it goes.
Custom Size RV Mattresses, Cut to the Inch
RV beds rarely match standard mattress sizes. Bunks run 28″ to 35″ wide, short queens are 74″ or 75″ long, and many platforms have a clipped corner for a wall, cabinet or wheel well. This builder lets you enter your exact width and length, add angled or notched corners, and see your price right away, so your new mattress fits the platform instead of hanging over it or leaving a gap.
Every mattress is made to order by Magic Sleeper, a family-owned mattress company in Pottstown, Pennsylvania that has been in the mattress business since 1979. Mattresses ship rolled in a box by FedEx Ground, usually within 1 to 2 weeks, and shipping is free.

How to measure your RV bed
- Take the old mattress off the platform. Old mattresses stretch and sag, so don't measure them.
- Measure the width of the platform from edge to edge.
- Measure the length from the head of the bed to the foot.
- Round to the nearest half inch. If you are between sizes, go a little smaller rather than bigger.
- If a corner is cut for a wall, cabinet or wheel well, measure how far the cut runs along the width (X) and along the length (Y) from where the square corner would be.
Angled vs. notched corners
An angled corner is a straight diagonal cut across the corner, common on bunks and beds that sit against a slanted wall. A notched corner is a square cut-out for a post, cabinet or step. You can add either cut to any of the four corners, and the drawing in the builder shows your mattress shape as you go. Each cut can be up to half the mattress width and half the length. For curves, radius corners or larger cuts, call us and we'll build it by hand.
