The Euro Top Shell is a complete single-zipper replacement cover for older quilted Sleep Number® beds. If your mattress cover is sagging, stained, torn, or just worn out but the air chambers and foam inside are still good, this outer shell makes the whole bed feel new again — without the cost of replacing the mattress. It has a medium-feel quilted Euro top with high-grade foam sewn right into the quilting, and one spacious zipper compartment that houses all of your components (air chambers, foam rails, and comfort layers). Is this the right cover for your bed?
The Euro Top Shell fits older Sleep Number beds with a single zipper and a quilted top surface — the classic style used for years before the smooth stretch-knit tops, including p5 and older 5000-series style beds. The air hoses on these beds exit at the head of the mattress, and this shell is sewn to match that routing.

How to measure your shell height
There are two easy ways to find the height you need:

Measure the border: measure the side of your border from top to bottom, excluding the piping. On an older mattress the sides can impress over time, so if it looks uneven, use the second method.

Add your layers: measure the height of your foam side rails at a spot with the least wear (usually the head or foot), then add the height of any comfort layers that sit on top. Foam rails + comfort layers = the shell height to order.

Will this fit my Sleep Number bed?

How do I know what height to order?

Does it come with the air chambers and foam?
No — this is the outer shell only. It reuses your existing air chambers, foam rails, and comfort layers, which is what makes it a cost-effective way to refresh the bed.
Where do the air hoses come out?
At the head of the mattress, matching the hose routing on these older Sleep Number beds.
Can I replace just the top instead of the whole shell?
Yes. If only the quilted top panel is worn and your border and zipper are still good, our Replacement Euro Top (top quilt only) reuses your existing zipper and costs less.
