This complete set rebuilds the entire foam border on a Sleep Number® bed — all four rails that frame the mattress: both long sides plus the head and foot. The rails are the firm foam edge that surrounds the air chambers and keeps the perimeter of the bed from collapsing when you sit or sleep near the edge. When the whole edge has gone soft, this set restores it in one order, without touching the air chambers, pump, or cover you already own. Made to order in the USA at a higher density than the originals.

All 4 rails 2.6 lb density 85 ILD firmness 6" or 7" height Optional center rail Made to order, USA

Why replace the complete set?

Foam rails soften and break down over the years, and once the whole perimeter has gone, you feel it everywhere — weak sides, a head and foot that give way, and a seating edge that no longer holds when you get in or out. The complete set brings the firm border back around the entire bed at once, which is the most thorough way to make an older Sleep Number bed feel solid again. Ours are built firmer than the factory rails: 2.6 lb foam density at 85 ILD, a measure of how much the foam resists compression, for a stable edge that holds up to daily use.

What is the Center Rail option?

The optional center rail is an extra foam rail that runs down the middle of the bed, between the two air chambers. It firms up the center and reduces the dip or gap some couples feel where the two sides meet. Choose Yes if your bed originally came with a center rail or you want firmer support through the middle; choose No for the standard four-rail perimeter. If you are not sure whether yours had one, call us at 610-327-2322 and we will help you check.

Will this fit my Sleep Number bed?

Because every rail is made to order, we fit older beds, newer smart-bed models, and sizes the manufacturer no longer sells — including Expanded Queen and RV King. If the foam comfort layer on top has also softened along with the rails, many owners refresh both at once; you can add a matching replacement comfort foam layer while you are here. Frequently asked questions

What is included in the complete foam rail set?

All four perimeter rails that frame the mattress: the two long side rails plus the head and foot rails. A center rail can be added with the Center Rail option. Together they rebuild the firm foam border around the entire bed.

What is the center rail, and do I need it?

The center rail is an extra foam rail that runs down the middle of the bed between the two air chambers. It firms up the center and reduces the dip some couples feel where the two sides meet. Choose it if your bed came with one or you want firmer center support; otherwise the standard four-rail set is all you need.

Should I get the complete set or just the pair of side rails?

Choose the complete set when the whole perimeter has softened — sides, head, and foot. If only the long sides feel weak and the head and foot are still firm, the pair of side rails is the more economical choice.

What height should I order?

Match the height of the rails already in your bed — most are 6" or 7". If you are unsure, measure your current rails or call us and we will help you choose.

How do these compare to the original Sleep Number rails?

They are firmer. At 2.6 lb density and 85 ILD, they give a more supportive edge than the factory rails and are built to hold up longer.
