The simple answer would be if you mattress has one zipper that goes around the bed, you would want to order the Euro Top Shell.
If your mattress has two zippers that go around your bed then you would want to order the Box Top Shell
Both model have different height variations. To get the most accurate size, unzip your cover and measure the Total Height of all current components that fit inside your zipper cover.
It is important to see what foam you currently have in your model. Some models have Memory Foam, but most models have Regular Foam.
Our Medium Regular Foam is usually the closest feel to most Sleep Number Models regular foam when it was Brand New. Generally this is what we say is the safest option to go with if you don't know exactly what you have since this is the most common style foam similar to most models.
If you wish to make it feel firmer or softer than it was when your mattress was brand new, you would want the Regular Firm / Soft
Egg Crate Convoluted foam is also used in some Sleep Number Models. It is the same Firmness as our Regular Medium Foam. This foam allows you to lay the flat side facing up or the convoluted side facing up giving you two slightly different feels. Though it is still categorized as a Medium Foam.
Our Gel Memory Foam is a Medium Plush Feel. It feels different than Regular Foam. Memory Foam cradles your body more and contours more to you. If you are a side sleeper, this will contour more to your shoulder and hips.
Latex Foam is not used in Sleep Number Beds but it is a high quality foam we carry. Latex Foam is a Natural Rubber. It is very Buoyant and Responsive. If you want a good supportive feel and want to feel more like you are laying on top of your bed instead of in your bed, this may be a good option.
Latex and Regular Foam are similar in which its a little more responsive and allows you to lay on top of the bed instead of in it. Latex is a more expensive foam but if you are looking for the best bang for your buck, The Medium Regular Foam in a 2.5 Density is a really good quality at a much lower price point.

Which New Cover Will Fit Your Sleep Number Bed?
The easiest way to determine which model you need to look at is by simply finding out how many zippers your bed has.
If your mattress has two zippers that go around the bed then you would need a Box Top Shell.
If your mattress has one zipper that houses all your components, then you would look at the Euro Top Shell
Some 1-Zippered Models have a pillow top style to it. You can get a new Pillow Top Shell or you can order a Euro Top Shell. All covers use the same quilting on the top. The only difference would be the esthetic looks of the mattress and how the border is sewn to the quilting.
Knowing The Correct Height of the Shell To Order
Knowing the height of your cover is important in making sure we make the correct size cover for you.
The most accurate way to measure is by unzipping your cover and measuring the total height of all the components from the bottom of the mattress to the top. Place a measuring stick down the side, get eye level and this will give you the height you need.
The most convenient way, but sometimes not the most accurate way is by measuring the outside of your cover, excluding the top quilt. Measure the height from the bottom binding tape (piping) to the top binding tape.
Understanding If Your Foam Needs To Be Replaced in Your Sleep Number Mattress
The general rule for mattress wear and tear is that the top layers wear our more than the bottom layers. This means that most of the sag / body impressions will be in the top quilting. Depending on the wear, your foam may also have visible sagging. If it does not, it is good to double check by pressing down on the foam and see if the foam feels softer where you lay vs where you don't lay.
It is important to know that if you are getting a new quilted cover, if you put a new quilted panel on worn out foam the top will still follow the sag or softness of the foam laying directly underneath it.
